Goloseo helps out

The Start: 3 Picture Books – 3 Languages – 4000  Copies

If all children who live in countries with low income were to leave school with basic reading abilities,

171 million people

could be lifted out of poverty.

In cooperation with the global organization Room to Read (www.roomtoread.org), we want to translate several of our Goloseo treasures into English and South African languages, print several hundred copies each and send them to the Room to Read libraries in South Africa.

Room to Read’s innovative model focuses on deep, systemic transformation within schools in low-income countries during two time periods which are most critical in a child’s schooling: early primary school for literacy acquisition and secondary school for girls’ education.
